Computer Room Air Conditioning Options
We all know how hot computers run and the importance of keeping the area around your monitors open and available to the cool area. When considering the computer room air conditioning, one should take into consideration the size of the room and the number of computers that the room will accommodate. In so many cases, the computer room is a small room that wouldn't fit well as a bedroom, at least in a home. In cases like this, one should make sure there are plenty of vents bringing in cold air and removing the hot air too. Larger rooms do not need as many vents, but they should still be well spaced. Another concern to address in your computer room is the humidity level. Keep in mind that the humidity level should not be over 55% in any computer room, so check this prior to running your air conditioning. Many individuals find that purchasing standalone free-standing air conditioning units can same them money and heartache when it comes to keeping their equipment cool. Keep in mind, these days, it's not just the monitor you have to keep cool. Computer room air conditioning has to take into consideration printers, monitors and various other paraphernellia. When deciding what to set the temperature to, err on the side of colder. For many work at home individuals, it's often a catch 22 between setting the central air at a level that's comfortable enough for the rest of the house and economical while still keeping the computer room air conditioning at a cool enough of a level. This is when the free-standing or window units can be invaulable. Some larger work at home businesses or companies even purchase specific units to handle their computer rooms because the cost of that kind of installation is small compared to the cost of their computer equipment or the data on them. It's up to you and the size of your computer room and its equipment to decide what size computer and temperature you want to go with. Remember, that a bigger unit is not always better. Choose your cooling system based on what is best for your overall home and then specifically, your computer room. Additions can always be made to the individual room to keep your electronics safe.
